  1. Wish I was able to help, but my extra rings are 2200 miles from where I currently am. Keep me in mind if you are still looking in a month or so.
  2. It is the heater control switch.
  3. Came across these today, so I thought I would post them so you can see what I can offer.
  4. Seems to me that I have a pair of MoPar original Appleton Electric Company fog lamps. Would they foot the bill?
  5. I still have the deck lid (trunk lid) for FREE! Hate to see it go to the junk man but next time I trip over it, away it will go....
  6. Here I go, again! Giving it heck trying to organize my garage. I know this is a mistake, but the Better Half won the coin toss!!! I am sure that after this is all said and done, I will not be able to find ANYTHING! LOL! For 17 pieces of the below clip. I had purchased them, I believe for a Plymouth project decades ago. Never marked them as to what they were for. Anyone know what their purpose was? Anyone interested in them? Thanks once again, gang, for all the knowledge you share.
  7. Raylloyd Thanks for your reply. I am actually looking for the length of the shaft on the locking mechanism. The lock on the passenger side door that one would insert the key into to unlock the door. On that mechanism is a "square tail". Need to know the length of that tail piece. Thanks again.
  8. Would anyone happen to know the length of the square shaft on the backside of a 1941 Plymouth door lock assembly? Thank you!
  9. Thanks Guys! Well, if there is anyone that would like to buy these, I would let the 35 piece go for $15.00 plus shipping. 42 Plymouth! Neat car, but I never restored one. Thanks again for your time responding.
  10. LOL! I can not even remember what project car I bought them for!
  11. Hello Folks. There has been some talk about molding clips here lately, and it reminded me that I should see if anyone can either I.D., or is in need of the below molding clip/clips I have in the below photos. I bought them for a project YEARS ago, and found that they did not work for my application. Stuck them in a drawer and there they have sat. I have 35 of these. They need a new home. Thanks.
  12. Hi again Folks. I have exhausted my search. Looking for what MoPar radiator number 851645 originally fits? All I have been able to find is that it is a Radiator Core, that has been re-built? All my books are for Plymouth line, only. I have to assume this is for another MoPar. Thanks in advance guys!
  13. Hi Folks! I have done some homework in the history section of this site and found some great hints as to how to go about repairing dents and dings in our old car stainless. This information is great, but does not address my particular problem. My problem is the P-15 Stainless Rocker Moldings I own have 3 small holes in each of them that seem to have been put there when someone attempted to rivet them to the car! (Why!, Good grief why?). Is there a way to fill these holes without having to purchase expensive soldering equipment? Are there any ideas as to where I should turn from here? These moldings are not perfect, but they are really, really quite nice! I have had them for 15 years I bet, and figure that if I do not do something with them soon, I should simply sell them to someone that can (my only other option). As always, thanks for your replies.
  14. I have found that it is a 60's and up show. I used to go annually, but it has been six or seven years since the last time. The "old timers" have passed on, and auctioned off their old stuff. You may get lucky and find someone that is selling off their unwanted items from their Rods.
  15. Thanks, JerseyHarold. I spoke with Jim a couple weeks ago. I agree he would be a good man to do the job, but for one thing. He only has a 34 foot trailer that could only haul two cars with an 8K capacity. So he would have to make 2 round trips!. Thanks for your reply though!
  16. Hello All. I would like some input, please. I have four, yes four collector cars that I need to have moved 2020 miles from Pennsylvania to Arizona. I also am looking for a Company that will be using a enclosed trailer, a must. This is not an immediate task, I am flexible with pick-up, and delivery times over the next couple of months. I also have been warned about Companies that use different Drivers, and load and unload the cars during the way onto other trailers. Obviously this is unacceptable in my case. Any leads or input on this matter is welcomed! Thanks again Guys.
  17. Investigated into the cost of the Optima battery, and it is a no go, for me anyway. I could not justify the cost of the battery, period. The warranty required you to bring it back to the place of purchase, too. And it was another pro-rated 3 year deal. Thank you for everyones input, and replies, making this a very interesting thread. Off to NAPA.
  18. O.K., I looked into the OPTIMA 6 VOLT battery, since it seems to be one of the best out there. When I was on their website, they advised me to enter information in regards to what type of car the battery was going to be used in? I filled in the information and got a reply stating that "They do not have a battery for a 1941 Plymouth". But, "Consider building a custom battery box using an OPTIMA battery". Sounds super expensive to me!!! If someone has purchased a battery that is a direct replacement for a conventional 6 Volt, Group 1 battery, I would love to have more information. From what I understand, the Group 1 batteries are H= 8 3/4, L= 9 and W= 6 7/8 inches. Looks as if there are three places that offer these batteries locally to me Two are Advance Auto Parts, and Pep Boys. The other is an independent warehouse. I just need to know what to ask for so I can get prices. I will advise my findings as well. Thanks again folks for all your interesting replies.
  19. O.k. Opinions, please. I am tossing around a Group 2 battery, instead of the Group 1 battery from NAPA... The group 2 battery is going to be an additional 1 3/8 inches longer than the Group 1 battery, so it will not fit nice and snug like the group 1 does... Question is, is it worth my time and efforts to try to modify the battery tray to except the larger Group 2 for the difference of 35 more cold cranking amps? Somehow, I can not justify it, but please, let me know your thoughts. Thanks again for all the replies.
  20. Nothing wrong with a bit of humor! I actually got a smile out of that! Needed one today, too.
  21. Tractor Supply Company. On-line, and at the store they are currently priced at 79.99. Come with 12 month, LIMITED warranty.
  22. I checked with Tractor Supply as 1949 Goat recommended. Found that they had them in stock, ready to go, but they came with a lame 12 month warranty. Still can not touch NAPA'S price and Nation Wide Warranty of 30 months (pro rated after 6 months). Thanks for all your suggestions, but I believe I will be found behind the counter at NAPA.
  23. I checked with Restoration Specialties in regards to their clips many times. They have been back ordered for a bit over 5 years now. I would not expect to see them anytime soon at any price.
  24. Hi Folks! Checked out some of the older posts, but need to re-visit the best place to purchase a replacement, Group 1, 6 volt battery is? I have checked Excide, sold around here at Central Tractor, but man, the reviews on Excide batteries is AWFUL! Sears? Well.... Even the local "Battery Warehouse" is expensive ($93.99) and only has a 24 month warranty. So far, MY best find is NAPA. $83.25, 30 month pro rated after the first 6 months. Any ideas before I bite the bullet? Thanks all.
