  1. This is a 37 Plymouth 2 door sedan....
  2. I started a thread some time ago of my project, "5 speed not T5". I am using a 83 to 87 Ranger trans 5 speed in my 38 Coupe. I have the 5 speed bolted to a 56 engine, and will put one on my 36 engine also. Small mods of trans cover, drill a couple of bolt holes, etc. Have to have a pilot bearing made.
  3. I lengthened the rod to about 9 inch.
  4. I used thin black roofing felt to copy my original door panels. I used the same felt as a water vapor before installing the door panels, I made from a Dodge Van.
  5. On my 48/49 Dodge, I used a new Mustang II MC, $20. Was an easy install, making a bracket of angle iron to add to the original Mc. Added a 9" rod to go through the original MC. The shoes, wheel cylinders, etc, are stock.. Brakes have been working good... There are several threads on here, where people have done something similar..
  6. "lugnut" ,,,free advertising gimmick. Years ago I went fishing near there, many times. Looking on "earth google", looks as if he has over 200 vehicles. Rt 14, Deerfiel, Ohio.
  7. I used some shop vac hose for my defrost tubes. I seen at the auto parts store today, they still sell flexable exhaust hose, that may work for you on the defrost tubing.
  8. I guess I should have saved and left one cookie in the tin..
  9. My books list the 41 and 48 Plymouth's wheelbase as 117 inch.
  10. Now if you want "simple". and the cookie tin container is empty, you can make a cookie tin sandwich air cleaner..... I love cookies.
  11. Someone posted this dual exhaust photo on here, having the second pipe near the center of the manifold.
  12. I put a 12volt to 6 volt reducer on my 38's heater...
  13. Here is a photo of one, on ebay, I believe $99. Would be less expensive to have one relined, than buy one on ebay, plus you would have one with new material, and not material many years old.
  14. The ones on by 38, and 37 are in good condition, and the linings are about the same in thickness as a brake shoe lining.
  15. For $1000, you buy a running, driveable, 1987 or so Dodge Dakota for a donor vehicle. Early Dakotas have 5 lug wheels.
  16. Love my 37s.......
  17. I put a new timing chain on my 56 engine last year. The chain oiler looked to be in very good shape, but no oil had went through it in along time. Probably why the chained stretched out so quick from the prevous owner.
  18. I have not been able to talk to the owner yet. I will find out soon how much he wants for them. These are near Bristol, Va.....
  19. A couple more photos. If I can get one of these, I will have to wait until april when my wife goes on vacation to China for 3 weeks. That will give me enough time to get it looking a little better, or hide it somewhere. The owner wants to get rid on all three, what am I going to do........
  20. I started a thread on here some time ago, "5 speed not T5", for the Ranger set up. I used a 87 or older Ranger trans, that have the mechanical speedometer setup. I used a 37 or 38 Plymouth bellhousing. The Ranger trans front bearing retainer needs to be shaved about 1/16 inch to go into the 5 inch hole in the Plymouth bellhousing. Drill 2 holes in the bell, and add a piece of angle iron the the bottom for 2 more bolt holes, have a new pilot bearing made.
  21. You could go with a 5 speed trans. Many on here have gone that route. There are a few threads on here with the T5 trans added. I am working on a 5 speed non T5, ( 87 Ranger), for my Plymouth.
  22. A friend of mine that has a 35 Plymouth goes to church with the owner of these 3 trucks. The owner is willing to sell now. I am not sure what year each of the trucks are. The one of the left, was drove to the present location, and the other two were hauled there, many years ago.........
  23. These high selling costs on some item is not just on P15s, or Mopars. I just bought a new set of mirrors for a Ford Truck for alot less than the used ones are listed at..... The salvage yards around this part of the country are very high also. In many cases, I can buy a complete car for less than the cost of an engine at the salvage yards....
  24. Chevy Vans have a cannister attached to the inside of the hood, easy to get to.
  25. I have read several times articles that state that running with no thermostat can make a car overheat due to coolant not having enough time in the radiator to reduce heat.
