  4. I remember reading about this at one time, but I searched and cant find it.. when installing the pistons on a 218, which direction do I install them? I havnt started it yet, but just trying to cover all the bases... Thanks, Dave

  12. Forgot I have a fuel tank as well.. looks alright, but is dented a little on the bottom.. doesnt leak..
  13. Anyone need any parts? I aquired mostly all the drivetrain parts from a guy that is building a '51 Fargo. He is installing a '81 cordoba drivetrain.. I have a complete rearend, front axle, engine (minus oil filter and generator), and tranny... The engine is a 218 but the block is cracked.. Tranny is from a colomn shift.. I think I'm keeping the starter, crankshaft, and rear end but everything else I think I have a couple of... If anyone is interested in something or have any questions just let me know.. Thanks, Dave

  21. Hey guys, I'm from the Pilothouse side, but I'm looking into buying some parts from a guy..he has a engine along with everything.. He sent me the serial number off of the engine, it is: P23 1 4958C anyone have any idea on decoding? I think the P23 was from a plymouth car? Thanks, Dave
  22. Hey guys, I'm in the minst of buying a bunch of parts off a guy.. He has a '51 engine and he e-mailed me what he thinks is the engine serial number..I asked for the casting number, but I guess it is still frozen in the ground. The serial number is: P23 1 4958C can anyone decode this number and let me know what the engine size is, and exactly what it came out of? Thanks Dave
  23. what did you make your door panels out of? looks like just carpet.. but it looks good
  24. body panels seem to need a little aligning to make it a show piece.. drivers door could use a shim or 2 as well..
