  2. You are more apt to find lead in newer, but not current paints. DP 40 and 401 are metal etching epoxy primers from DuPont about fifteen years ago did contain lead. Now sold as DP40LF and DP401LF, LF=Lead Free.
  3. Stolen from Facebook 'Route 66 Postcards'
  4. This was om the firewall, engine bay, passenger side top, the last 4 of the VIN (4228)
  5. Unfortunately, Colorado is Aspen, Pine, Spruce and Fir, for the most part. It's even hard to find oak fire wood, at least locally where I am. Scrub oak is about it!
  6. I like the idea of treated plywood, for my dulley, I may go that route, was looking at pine, also no one around with hard woods. Also need 10', not 8. For the bed strips, after pricing them from the usual suspects, and getting back up off the floor when I heard the price, I am going with roofing termination bars. It is not a resto, so, just to make it useable.

  9. It is my understanding that THESE are as close to original that have been found, a little pricey, but if it is a restoration.
  10. This is for the Model 504, but may help with hose routing.
  11. If you do go that route, I have the 94 XJ and ZJ Shop Manuals and ZJ Parts List in PDF. Along with other PDFs. Just ask.
  12. The Chrysler 4L straight six is almost bullet proof, I have had several, the last was a 94 ZJ (Grand Cherokee), if you do use it, replace the o-ring behind the oil filter housing/adapter, it is a known week spot. At least while in situ in the Jeep it is a PITA to get at, might not be so bad in an older Dodge.
  13. you might contact Eric Bannerman; Admin of Dodge, Fargo & Desoto Trucks 1948 1949 1950 1951 1952 1953 and provide this information, he is very knowledgeable on these engines;
  14. If you post a WTB add and someone responds with a message like this, beware. Red flags are new profile, offering to connect you with a friend who has the specific item you are looking for, email address is toonebee4@gmail.com (or similar). Thought this was worth sharing. I posted on a lawn mower forum and did some research before proceeding. I found THIS SITE, my post is now the last one added.
  15. I am wondering if any one knows at what point the Job Rater Magazine both started and ended for the B1 Series Dodge Trucks? I know it was published bi-monthly (six per year), I think that series started with Volume 2 Number One, but not sure when it ended. I am trying to complete the collection, wonder how many I am missing? Recently found V3 #4 on eBay (posted in download section). I know I am at least missing two, but not sure of the end point, any thoughts?
