Bought this tonight. Its a 49 ex firetruck w 18K original miles. Just out of long term storage. 5+2, 2 tiny rust spots-super solid. Bringing it home tomorrow night-can't wait to hit it with a buffer. Purrs like a kitten. I have everything that it's missing except the parking lights. Its even got a grill guard! Mike

Love the nostalgia of that plaque, but wrong period for my P15. I just picked up this topper from Speedway Motors.

I've not seen one of those plates before........but don't think I will get one. The good news was that the 21st amendment repealed the 18th (prohibition)......so now I can have an occasional beer or mixed drink. Sorry, Carrie Nation.

There can still be oil in the front half of the OD trans but little lube in the back OD half. When the OD unit is starved long enough for oil the sun gear will make a whine and then "ZING" and seize up inside the ring or annulus gear. Then you are back into 3rd direct and no OD engagement possible although the trans works fine otherwise. . I am not saying the OP's issue is low oil though, it does need to be checked first off- both levels as already mentioned above. Bob
