swiftshifter67 Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 Hello fellas. Does anyone know where i can find a trans for my 53' cranbrook here in Arizona. I've been looking, but no luck. Any ideas are appreciated. Quote
greg g Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 Well in the middle of NY I am a bit distant from you in AZ, but I have a fluid drive standard trans sitting in the corner of the garage, believe its out of a 49. You didn't mention which transmission you needed the gyromatic Dodges M-6 varient, or the regular threespeed. You can have it for 50 bucks if you can figure a way to ship it out there reasonably. swiftshifter67 Posted July 9, 2008 Author Report Posted July 9, 2008 I forgot to mention that it is a regular 3-speed. Quote
Young Ed Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 Greg 53 cranbrook would only have either a standard 3spd an OD or a Hydrive. No fluid drive stuff in plymouths. Quote
greg g Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 I guess I read cranbrook and heard meadowbrook. In which case I have a threespeed out of a 56 Plymouth sitting in my garage. Quote
greg g Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 The plymouth shaft is about 2 inches shorter than the dodge. Only way I can tell them apart is the dodge is painted red...........oh yeah and the input shafts are different. Quote
p15estep Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 i just did pull a overdrive trans. out of a 53 plymouth. i also have all the linkages. Quote
