"Performance" Plug Wires

I found these clear, red plug wires at a local estate auction last week;

I think I'm going to replace my cloth wrapped plug wires with these to see if they make any difference. They may look more "period" performance correct for my car.

BTW...they cost a whopping...$1.95

Shazzam! Do they twinkle like the plug wires on American Chopper? Do the chicks really dig them? Can I use these wires and have the same smile Bob does when he takes Enzyte?

Boy could I use a quick get-away. I don't think quick was ever a thought for my car. It is by far the slowest vehicle on the road...just the way I like it:D !!

Hey we usta sell those in the auto section of K mart. Ours were of course $1.77. Came in red yellow and blue. They were solid copper core wires but I believe the insulation was suspect to begine with. Those are probably from the mid to late 60's.

And Randoid, I believe unfortunately they will twinkle, but alas between the wire, not within them. Put em on, see what they do, and for the light up acid test, hit them with a water mister after dark. You might get a light show you don't really want.

Sorry to be a wet blanket but I do not think they were high quality to begin with, after 40 years who knows.
