Aussie D25 Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Not that I am about to embark on this epic conversion right this second... Its just that the thought has amused me for some time and wanted to know how much stuffing around would need to be done to get it all sorted. I imagine that a new front clip would be expected, if so from what? new tail shaft... i suppose? Has anyone got any horror stories to share with engine swapping? Sorry about the time since my last post I have been hung up with sorting out new living arrangements and Ive had no internts for bloody ages now. Quote
Merle Coggins Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 If I were you, I'd contact John (A.K.A. 46mopar) from this forum. He may even chime in on this one too. He has a 440 in a D24 and may have some insite for you as to how tight the fit is. How much bigger is the RB Hemi block than the B block? Merle Quote
Young Ed Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 I think the block itself is about the same but the heads are much wider. Quote

dndrodshop Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 No problem if you move back your firewall and re-configure your wheel wells. Using stock front suspension with a GM power rack (own mounts) Rear Sump oil pan. http://home.wi.rr.com/dndrodshop/p15.htm Where are you located? Quote
Brendan D25 Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Aussie D25, that is a good site that Ed posted the link to, he mentioned moving the firewall back, I'm wondering if it would be necessary with a D25 as it should have originally have had the longer 25" engine and thus a little more room that the P15. Keep us posted on what you decide to do. Brendan. Quote
