Saw this over on the HAMB sometime ago and thought I'd post over here.

I like it alot, and wouldn't mind running something like this on in my coupe. I also like the way he ran his fuel lines as well as the cloth spark plug wire. More inspiration for me. We'll see.

That's a really nice setup, and the guy who owns the car is really cool too. I am currently building a stainless tube intake for a Landgon 2bbl carb for my 230. I might make flanges for intakes, and intake/exhaust setups for people wanting to weld up their own stuff.

It's Bloddyknuckles ride. He is chopping his car right now. so it will look even better. I belive the intake was done by a guy code name Moose. Why not go with a three carb set up from George(rustyhope)? :D

That's what I would like to do to mine ....:D

Moose did my intake. It looked like his stuff but I wasn't sure.

Here's a pic of mine. I'm still going to clean up some of the fabrication but I'm very pleased with how it came out.

Langdon sells a holley/weber car if i'm not mistaken...Pete chime in if you can. Langdon also sells a carb adapter to bolt it to the stock flange. I know that Pete is running a dual carb setup with these components in combination with an aluminum intake. My intake is designed for the 23 inch block.

According to Tom the man himself at Langdon Stovebolt, you'll probably be better off with the carter/weber setup if you run duals unless you have some serious hop up items like Coatney and Pete. I'm not sure if you run a single carb it would be worth doing anything other than getting the adapter to bolt it up to the stock intake. Moose will definitely be able to do something for you though. I've seen him make stuff to run stromberg 97s. and If i'm not mistaken, the pics I posted my be flanges for holley 94s. He also makes exhaust intake combos, all at good prices too.

Thanks for the compliments.

I have to admit, Moose did build the basic intake from my design. I was excited during the construction but when I received it, it wasn't quite what I thought it would be. I had to do extensive (emphasize extensive!!) reworking and significant cosmetic repairs. I consider myself a pretty good fabricator but I had no idea where to start when building an intake. I am glad I had him build it for me but after I saw the simplicity of it I know I will build a different one at some other time.

It's hard for me to give credit to the manufacturer of a product when I'm the one who takes the time to make it look good.

I'm trying not to bash moose by any means but I paid alot of money for a basic product that then took significant time to fine tune it to where it is today.

I hope you can understand and respect my harsh statements. I spent too many hours on my engine to make it look the way it does for someone else to get the credit.

Well, look at it this way, that's part of how you earned your nickname...:)

No matter the rough road getting there, you have one heck of a good looking motor there. The combined metalwork is really something.

Was your car the one in the video a while back, in this forum?

knuckles.....I too had to do some work on my intake after I got it back from Moose, and I'm still not done. But I was prepped for that when I looked at the pics on his website. All in all he was good to do business with and I can appreciate his work for what it is.....a decent foundation for me to get my motor looking and performing how I want it to look and perform. I'm sure you've probably forgotten more about fabrication than I've ever learned. So I'm happy that I was able to get such a good start to making my motor what I want it to be. Your motor does look great and has definitely provided me with some inspiration to get mine looking good.

I'd also be interested in getting some more detailed pics of the fuel line setup as well as your linkage. These are the pieces of this setup I think will end up giving me the most grief. Pics are appreciated.

If you're talking about the one running on the course without the hood, that was me.

Here are a few pics of how I did my linkage;

I'll try to find some close-ups on how I did my fuel lines.

Ya know, Ron, now that you mentioned it, I guess we did have a discussion regarding your massaging the manifold, as in nearly completely reworking all the welds.

I must admit I forgot that we had that conversation and apologize for not mentioning in in my referal of Moose as a source for these intakes. I did have an emial from him of some of his more recent stuff and it looks like his welds are now much better than on earlier pieces.

I am certainly not endorsing his products as other than yours I have never seen anything but pictures. Merely mentioning it as a source for those looking for other options. As always Caveat Emptor.

that said I have always thought that a couple SU side drafts from a Jaguar 6 would be a nice fit for our 3.7 litre engines. And that a manifold of that style would be effective in mounting them. Their adjustable main jets and ease of linkage connection could be an advantage over the carters and solex and strombergs we toil with.

Greg,

No problem man, I just wanted people to be aware of what to expect if they choose to go this route. I'm glad he's getting better. You can only get better the more you do something. So, best of luck to Moose.
