Young Ed Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1949-Plymouth-Pair-Bumpers-Custom-Hot-Rod-Rat-1936-Ford_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33640QQihZ018QQitemZ280185699633QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW I bought a set of these 49 plymouth bumpers maybe 2 summers ago after they didnt sell on ebay. I think I offered the guy $60 and he took it. I also got the bumper guards the brackets and the rear splash pan. I think some old MN plates are still attached to mine too. And my chrome is good enough to shine up and use on a driver. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 supply and demand...man may have scoured and exhausted all resourses..finially paid the price..seller reaps a windfall..not his fault.. Quote
Reg Evans Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 Guess I got lucky when I hit the "Buy It Now" button on a beautifully rechromed front bumper for my 49 Suburban for only $180 last month. Shipping was only $19.00 too !!!! What a deal. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 I found a pair of those a few years ago at a local swapmeet. Guy was asking $100 each for them and they looked about the same. In fact, one of them looked like it may have been a little twisted. Quote
Johnny S Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 I've got two sets if anyone wants to drop another $500 per set ..... in fact .... I'd go $400 a set for anyone on "The Board" :-) ..... Reg got the real deal at $180 rechromed. Rechroming locally is $400 per bumper. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 You can get some deals once in awhile on stuff off Ebay. Several years ago I picked up a re-chromed front bumper for $67 for my 48 coupe, including the shipping cost off ebay. At the time only two of us bid on it. Quote
