bkahler Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 I have a quick question on the Pitman arm attachment to the steering gearbox. Can the arm be fitted in any position or is it keyed to the gearbox shaft so that it only fits one way? It's been long enough since I worked on the gearbox that I don't remember which is correct. Thanks! Quote

Dodgeb4ya Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 It's splined .... can go on in four different positions. There are four wide machined indexing slots. 1 Quote

Dodgeb4ya Posted March 26 Report Posted March 26 You install the arm one slot wrong...you'll figure it out pretty quick🤣 1 Quote

At a minimum, to use one of the other three positions it would require a pretty radical drag link 😄 Quote
