DodgED Posted October 22 Report Posted October 22 I have a '47 (Canadian) Dodge with a 25" 218 flathead. Anyone know if a 40ish exhaust manifold from an American 25" block Desoto will fit? Having a heck of a time finding a manifold here in Canada. Thanks, you fellas have been really helpful. Quote
Sniper Posted October 22 Report Posted October 22 Fit? As in bolt up to your block? Most likely, bolt up to your existing exhaust pipe? I dunno. Quote
andyd Posted October 22 Report Posted October 22 Find out where the DeSoto manifold "dumps"........I am unsure about the 25" block manifolds but if they are anything like the 23" engines which had at least THREE different exhaust manifolds then you might be well advised to look at the one your car has and note where the "dump" is........when I was chasing exhaust manifolds I identified them by the location that the outlet or dump was in relation to the cylinder numbering.......ie, between # 2 & # 3 cylinders, between # 5 & # 6 cylinders and past # 6 cylinder......this way I could recognise what I'd found or was for sale and what I didn't want......see attached pic which shows the 1st two that I described and subsequently modified to give me a dual outlet system which cleared the RHD Oz steering box.........dunno if any of this info helps you in your search but it may do.......good luck....regards from Oztralia.....andyd 1 Quote
keithb7 Posted October 23 Report Posted October 23 Find a 25” USA Desoto or Chrysler engine manifold. I suspect it’ll bolt right up. Quote
andyd Posted October 23 Report Posted October 23 All 25" Chrysler or DeSoto manifolds will bolt on, tho' the exhaust outlets maybe different between the makes and years. Quote
D35 Torpedo Posted October 23 Report Posted October 23 If you were on the west coast id give you one. Quote
