hepkat63
Hi all, can someone please identify what his relay is? I believe it is an aftermarket headlamp relay, however not sure how to wire it up as it is not on the schematic for a 1954 plymouth at all. Plymouthy Adams
have you considered the possibility it is the horn relay?

I did - however, i have a horn relay already. This was (is) connected to the terminal block for the headlights etc.
Plymouthy Adams
then likely it is an add...who knows how the PO wired it....it appears by the fuse attached to be of German origins. Typical VW/Porsche style, only suggestion, wire it for the application you need so to do the task you wish AFTER ensuring the validity of its operation. desoto1939
Is it a single or a double rely? So basically there is a power source from your battery or other hot line. Then there should be a low beam and a high beam connecter tab. There also should be a connecter tab from the dimmer switch So the purpose is that you are not supplying the electrical current through your dash switch but directing the current in a more direct mode to the relay and then the relay is providing the direct current to the appropriate headlights. Look for stamped letters on each tab on the relay and this might help you understand the wiring setup. rich hartung desoto1939@aol.com
Sam Buchanan
Disconnect all the wires and see what stops working.
