JAS12
I am trying to find the best place to connect an aftermarket oil pressure sensor so I can install an aftermarket gauge. I have a 1951 Plymouth with and inline 6 and 3 speed on the column. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jason
Sniper
I connected mine the same place the factory connected theirs. It was a pain though since it was right net to the starter and room is limited there.
Merle Coggins
There are 4 plugs in the oil galley along the side of the engine. Either of these will work for your sensor. Use which ever one is more accessible. Your original gauge would be plumbed into one of them, likely the one behind the starter as Sniper states. The second one from the rear may be feeding your oil filter. And the front one will be hiding behind the generator.

Jason I recommend using the port behind the oil filler tube as there should be enough room for that pressure sensor. One of my flatheads in storage has a brass elbow in the port behind the starter, and there's not much room back there...my guess is that elbow was for an aftermarket mechanical oil pressure gauge that fed pressurized oil through a nylon tube to an underdash gauge.
