tip toe transmission fill plug location

Hi all,

I recently bought a 1951 DeSoto custom. I decided to drain the transmission and fill it with the recommended 10W non-detergent oil, but I'm having trouble locating which one is the filler plug. I removed the plate on the transmission hump under the carpet on the passenger side and I see the governor and solenoid but I don't know which one is the fill plug. The shop manual I bought is no use/ very vague. Can anyone help me with this? Are there any pictures I can reference?

The bottom plug is the drain and the middle plug is the fill. The top plug is for the shift fork. Fill the transmission until it runs out the fill hole. Not very scientific but that’s what the Dodge manual says lol.

"Fluid drive" - do you mean the fluid coupling?

Remove the access cover in the floor pan. (Of course, after moving the carpet back.)

Remove the access cover in the bell housing.  Then the trick is to rotate the crankshaft until the fill plug is accessible.

Stuff a rag between the bell housing and the fluid coupling, so that then when you drop the plug, it won't fall down the rabbit hole.

That sounds like hard won advice
