The Hermit Posted November 29, 2023 Report Posted November 29, 2023 Rebuilding a 52 Dodge Coronet and cannot remember how the reverse linkage attaches to the steering column. I have manuals and don't really see the details. Would anyone be able to post a picture of this? Thanks Quote
Sam Buchanan Posted November 29, 2023 Report Posted November 29, 2023 This may not help any but here is the linkage on my '48 Plymouth. Quote
The Hermit Posted November 29, 2023 Author Report Posted November 29, 2023 Thanks Sam however this is not the same but definitely the kind of detail I was looking for. My linkage has a separate rod for reverse only which attaches a little lower than the gear selector in your pic. Quote
Solution Sniper Posted November 29, 2023 Solution Report Posted November 29, 2023 My parts manual shows two different shifter setups, one for standard transmission the other for Gyromatic, Tip Toe Shift and under drive transmissions. None of which show a separate rod for reverse. Quote

This helps as I can tell which parts I don't have and can look for them or make something. Quote
Sam Buchanan Posted November 29, 2023 Report Posted November 29, 2023 Ahhhhhh…….gyromatic……details, details. Quote
