Good day everyone I have come across 4 complete 8.75 rear ends and from what I can tell they are late 40s-50s and I’m curious as to what they would be worth and how to identify the actual year or model vehicle they went in by using the casting number? If that possible?
thanks

Likely not worth much. ? I have a complete one in perfect condition that I know will fit 39-47 Dodge and Plymouth pickups which I've been trying to sell. Can't even give it away. I suspect the one I have will fit other car and truck applications as well? They are robust rear ends, but with tapered axles and rarity of good drums along with no emergency brake provisions not very popular. If you find someone that really needed one for a restoration you might have a chance at getting a few bucks?

It is my understanding that later model brakes can be adapted to work, giving you a parking brake AND more readily available drums.

Clean off that flat spot at the top of the center section and see if the ratio is there. If you happened upon some 3.73 or lower ratios you'll have some demand.
