Cavalier steering rack and pinion

Can someone please point me to a link with pics of the Cavalier steering rack conversion? I have 2 P15s and one of them is on a frame that has a Cutlass front and rear spliced in. I may use this frame, but I'm curious as to how the stock holds up. I'm doing a 5.3 swap and need the steering column out of the way.

THo' most if not all cavalier rack & pinion conversions are on stock chassis/suspensions.........we all have our personal preferences but I haven't seen many late model frame swaps that do the car justice, usually they are either the wrong wheelbase or just look wrong........but your choice.........I'd recommend the stock frame, restored/upgraded stock suspension, disc brakes, better or relocated shocks, upgraded springs, sway bar & slight lowering, same on the rear, 2" blocks, better shocks...........I've hada 318 Poly in my 40 Dodge since 1973, RHD, rack, discs, etc.........andyd

At one time I had considered doing the Cavalier conversion. After research I decided not to. Reasons. Having to adapt or replace steering column. Loss of turning radius, the rack doesn't turn the wheels as far. It is a doable conversion, but what I have is working. If it aint broke don't fix it.

All of that is addressable and Scotty's conversion goes into that detail.

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking about pulling the parts body off of the cutlass frame and putting my good body on it. The splice is a pretty good job and it already has 4 link rear suspension

The "good" body is on the factory frame
