1947 Dodge pickup windshield wiper motor

Looking at changing the vacuum windshield wipers over to 12 volt, wold like to go 2 speed motors, want to install the motors where the vacuum ones are, looking for some recommendations. Thanks

I just installed a 12v Newport Engineering electric wiper motor in my 47 D24 newportwipers.com . Install was straightforward, fit was perfect, operation as it should, kinda pricy but what isn't these days.

I have a Newport I put in TODD....same: simple, easy and layed out nice...as with most things like that....not cheap.

Newport may still have a solution but the wipers for a 47 are quite different than a pilot house. 39-47 trucks have individual wipers per side and go above the windshield in the header panel. Not much room at all for anything bigger than stock. I've heard of guys grabbing wiper motors from modern hatch back vehicles and adapting them
