Horn ring or not?

I saw a horn ring for sale on e pay that is supposed to fit '51-'53 Plymouths. My '51 Suburban (Concord, not Savoy) does not even have one and I believe the car has been unmolested. Is there a source showing the different interior options of these early '50's models?

That ring looks stragely like a 49 model..the other with the center button..I know my 51 had that and am thinking so did the 52..but the 53/54 are different..

I don't know about the 50's models horn ring and buttons. However, in the 40's the business coupes usually didn't have a ring, just a button. That could have been carried forward for the early 50's business and lower priced models as well. The best place to find out for sure is if you had a parts manual for your car, or car in question. The parts manual would show both arrangements if there were more than one.

Looks pretty close to me. The center looks like mine also.

My 52 Cambridge does not have the horn ring. The horn ring was used on the upgraded models or special deluxe as they were called with the P15's

Mine is the Concord, which is the base model - hence no horn ring...mystery solved!

i tried to put a horn ring on a steering wheel that did not come equipped with one...!IT DIDNT FIT. seems tere are notches built into the cap and base to allow for it. not an easy switch..get the whole wheel..
