Don Coatney Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 I drove to Chatanooga last Friday. I took a detour from the freeway and drove past this Powerwagon stash. There were no markings on the building and the gate was locked so I could not go in and explore. This place is located on Rt 41 south near Tracy, Tennessee. There were also a lot of other larger (6X6 duce and a half's etc.) military trucks and assorted trailers. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 There are a couple Power Wagons in with other vehicles at Quapaw, Okla. Don't know anything about them......if for sale. Right along the highway. Or, you could tackle this ancient vehicle. Be the only one in your neighborhood. Quote
Young Ed Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 I think those big square trucks are Dodge M37 military vehicles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_M-37 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 I had the rare opportunity to walk through a military vehicle wrecking yard on the last day it was open to the public. New ownership was a huge business who had bought it all so as to build military props for film industry..there were acres upon acres of truck, jeeps, etc and even helicopters sitting everywhere..warehouse after warehouse of new parts carted up...regular paradise for sure...this was outside Augusta Gerorgia..and that was about 1990... mikeinkc Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 i think i remember seeing that place on an episode of trucks a few years back. i think they are a manufacterer of heavy-duty drive train components. trucks did a power wagon build up in i think 2004 and they went down there to get some axle/transfer case parts.
