Polarize the generator?

Howdy,

So battery is not charging. Amp gauge will flicker a little sometimes. Battery was dead for a year. So......do i just need to polarize the generator or something? Tried to research it but got confused. Thank you!

Jumper wire "BAT" to "ARM" terminals on regulator for just a second.

This to polarize generator...probably won't fix charging problem.

Test the generator itself for good output by full fielding it.

If you are trying to charge a battery that has been dead for a year you are wasting your time.

Buy a new battery too as I agree...battery that's been dead for a year....turn it in buy a new one...then check charging system if needed.
