47ply Posted December 19, 2021 Report Posted December 19, 2021 Howdy, So battery is not charging. Amp gauge will flicker a little sometimes. Battery was dead for a year. So......do i just need to polarize the generator or something? Tried to research it but got confused. Thank you! 47 Plymouth special delux 6v pos ground Quote

Dodgeb4ya Posted December 19, 2021 Report Posted December 19, 2021 Jumper wire "BAT" to "ARM" terminals on regulator for just a second. This to polarize generator...probably won't fix charging problem. Test the generator itself for good output by full fielding it. Quote
Sniper Posted December 19, 2021 Report Posted December 19, 2021 If you are trying to charge a battery that has been dead for a year you are wasting your time. 4 Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted December 19, 2021 Report Posted December 19, 2021 Buy a new battery too as I agree...battery that's been dead for a year....turn it in buy a new one...then check charging system if needed. 1 Quote
