  1. Thank you! Some places use their own part numbers or something, but this helps a lot!
  2. Thank you, i think the vendor list and part number search will be a big help. I don't have any part numbers tho, is there a website I can get part numbers?
  3. Thank you, that helps. I didn't think about the rubber. Maybe the door piece I can figure out, but not sure if i can do the windshield my self
  4. Howdy, So battery is not charging. Amp gauge will flicker a little sometimes. Battery was dead for a year. So......do i just need to polarize the generator or something? Tried to research it but got confused. Thank you! 47 Plymouth special delux 6v pos ground
  5. I've found one place to get parts, but any suggestions? I'll need back brake parts, interior redone and a few pieces of glass. So I'm thinking just one right windshield and a few right side windows. Will it look weird with new glass and old glass? Should i try and find used glass? I'm on a budget so trying not to replace all glass but open to it. 47 Plymouth special deluxe Thank you!

    Tube tires

Most I'll ever drive it is a few miles for errands or a car show. Some day i make take it an hour drive to drive in movie, BUT I'd really need to trust it and it's a long way away. Plus the way movies are these days I may never see a new one, but every now and again they show old ones so who knows. Not sure how fast I'd go in this thing but probably not above 40 for a long time. So with the wheels i have now 6.00-16, what are my tire options please? Like what sizes should i ask for from tire shop. I want cheap as possible. $60 each would suit me fine. Unless you really think i need new wheels for safety/reliability. I do have all four hub caps. I'd take pics but it says file size too large Thank you!

No cutoff switch, thanks for the suggestion, should i get one? Update. It was hard to start and harder to restart after i kill it Now i fires right up even in 12*f weather! And even better i can start it right up again even if i kill it. Thank you for all the help! I put 2/0 cables on. Cleaned every connection real good. New nuts and washers. Moved the ground from the water outlet to the oil bath connection. The cables had the wrong colors but i think they are long enough so i just switched them. Full choke, one pump, hold it open a little. Then remove choke and set throttle pull to idle. Thank you for all your tips and suggestions!!

Well i got the 2/0, I'll put on tomorrow. Only thing is the guy putting it together got the colors all mixed up. Guess I'll spray paint them or something I dunno. Both cables are orange color but the bands on the end are wrong colors. Cost like $45 bucks and darn near took an hour

I'm going to get some battery cables today. So 1/0 isn't overkill?

    Tube tires

I'll see what i can find, I'll put the cheapest tires on the old wheels and see how it goes. Not sure if i want radial or bias ply but maybe bias ply is cheaper

    Tube tires

So just find tubeless tires and rims for it? I was probably just going to have them put tires on rims for me so i wouldn't have to drive it up there, it still needs a lot of work. Hoping for affordable used rims. I'll have to decide what size i want. I prefer more tire than rim, don't want 20's or anything.

One of those videos mentioned sometimes people just use an 8v battery. I'll clean and replace a few cables and make sure the starter switch isn't the issue maybe. And then is there anything wrong with just putting in an 8v? Will it mess up amy gauges or anything?
  14. My grampa might weld me one up. Any guides on that?
  15. Watched the video thanks. Is that special adjustment tool expensive or rare?
