I whittled on the tail lights the last couple days and have questions. I purchased 2 rear tail light assemblies from Andy B awhile back and temporarily put them on. The 1058 bulbs are not snug when installed. I am weary of taking pliers to crimp them in a little to make the tighter fit. Suggestions?  I temporarily used some 10-2 outer sheathing to slip the hot/grnd wire through until I find something proper.  The license plate bracket seems at an odd angle, not perpendicular to the bed. Thus the light and plate are at an angle. Is this the way for a ‘36 ?  That bracket is stout. Does it need straightening?  The truck never had original tail lights. My dad bought a couple RV lights way back and he installed them. The one over the plate had a window in it to illuminate the plate at night. So, how do you illuminate your license plate at night?  Should I fabricated some kind of window or is there a separate little light I should try to find?  Last, it’s all about symmetry and the right rear light is on a homemade bracket and does not by the math look even. A new bracket or do I buy the right hand light bracket from Andy B ?   I never worried about this stuff as a young man. Jeez. Now it seems left and right hemisphere is supposed to be balanced these days.  Anyway, your thoughts will be welcome.  Also, My manifold assembly is almost done and that’s good!

I believe those are still left and right and one should have a lense in the bottom for the plate. As for the bracket I think I'd heat it and and bend it straight.

That is correct.

I shall do both. I tried Roberts today for the light but they must be closed for the holiday. next week. I’ll wait to bend that bracket until I get the right side one on so I can match it. Thanks for the replies.
