Hi all,

          the attached photo shows a new firewall grommet for the throttle pedal shaft for my D25 Dodge. Am I correct in assuming that the protrusion faces forward in the direction of travel, like in the photo, so that on the inside of the car the grommet is virtually 'flush' with the kickboard? Not 100% but I think it's opposite

I would assume that the protrution end would be facing inward to the inside of the car or truck. You can see where the split in the seal is so that it will go into the firewall opening and make a good seal.

If the unit was the other way no sure if you would get the proper sealing affect.

Dug into my 46-47 Plymouth parts book, couldn't find it on any other one.  Here's a pic.  Looks like it's part of the throttle stop as well?
