kencombs Posted August 15, 2021 Report Posted August 15, 2021 Somewhere I think I read that older Jeep shackle kits can be substituted for those on B and C series trucks. But have searched here and other forums and can't find any info now. Has anybody else seen this or is it a figment of my imagination? The reason it is of interest is that Jeep parts can be had much cheaper than the normal Mopar sources. Probably offshore sourced but cheap (er). Quote
Young Ed Posted August 15, 2021 Report Posted August 15, 2021 I used the jeep bushings with my dodge U shackles in the rear. In the front I used full jeep assemblies. Reason for mixing and matching in the rear was the jeep ones are shorter. In the front they were only slightly shorter. Quote
The Oil Soup Posted August 15, 2021 Report Posted August 15, 2021 https://stores.zmjeeps.com/shackle-kit-802062/ The Jeep shackles are 2.75” between centers vs. 4.00” for the stock dodge shackles and I used them to lower my truck in the rear suspension and also flipped the shackle, they are too short to use on the front springs. You need one pt# 802062 and one 802061. I think the 802061 part has a left hand thread. Quote

Can anyone confirm that B and C series interchange? Quote

One person used the jeep assemblies on the front yet another posted that they are to short for the front. Can anyone help me understand the difference, year maybe? Quote

Not sure what year oil soup was working on but I put the slightly shorter jeep ones on the front of my 47. They installed fine and seem like they will work but I should point out truck isn't on the road yet. Quote
