Replacing trans relay & carb wiring back to original

Last winter I had starting issues with my 48 Chrysler Windsor, 251 ci, fluid drive.  The wires on the carb and trans relay were in pretty bad shape, so at the time I just bought a spool of black wire and replaced them all and then labeled them so I would remember where they went.  Now I'd like to rewire with the original cloth sheathed style.  RI Wire is who I'll probably get the wires and ends from, but I can't remember the proper gauge.   If I remember correctly, single tracer wire is 16 gauge and double wire tracer is 14 gauge, right?  I thought for sure that I took pictures before I trashed the wires but I can't seem to find them on my phone, so I can't remember if they were single or double tracer wires.

I think I have this correct for the trans relay.

TH - Yellow

SOL - Red

BAT - Green

PRI - Black

INT - Blue

Am I right?

I'm also looking to buy the proper bullet end connector that plugs into the anti-stall on the carb.  RIW has two options, being .160 male bullet or .180 male bullet.  From their pictures, it looks like it should maybe be the .180, but I seem to think the one on my carb looked longer for some reason.  It says they are for 12-16 gauge.  So maybe that tells me the wire to the Anti-stall is 16 gauge.  I think they were all the same gauge so I'm thinking I should get all the colours in 16 gauge, single tracer.  But I just wanted to check here first.

I ordered the trans harness from YNZ Wiring. I believe it was around $150.00. It came with excellent instructions and was concours correct, not that it mattered to me lol. Just an option.

Since I only need a couple feet of each wire, and RIW sells it by the foot I think that's by best option.

Use the .160" bullets .....180"'s are too large.

All wires are 16ga. as you probably know. ...

There are two different wires harness patterns depending on vehicle serial #s.

Depends on trans relay location.

If you make your own does not matter.

I factory crimp and solder OE terminal ends as done by factory doing these.

Was there a reason why Chrysler changed the harness pattern? My trans relay is on the driver inner fender just behind the regulator.  Where else was it put in 48?

The change is in the way the harness is made...slight hidden junction wire change and if the the trans harness has a  braided ground wrapped around said harness.

Either way will not cause problems.

The relays are mounted slightly different on some cars meaning slightly longer or shorter wires.

Good to know.  I had that braided ground wire that you mentioned slid over the wire on my car.  What was the point of that?  I'm assuming the factory must have had a machine that inserted the wire through the centre of that braided ground wire.
