Slickster Posted December 11, 2020 Report Posted December 11, 2020 Return spring removed from 48 P15, RIDICULOUS effort to remove, and I have the right tools and know how to use them....different from springs on three other wheels, still chasing dragging brake issue....seems WAY too short, anybody with comparable car have one they can measure? Thanks Quote
desoto1939 Posted December 11, 2020 Report Posted December 11, 2020 Slickster: I think I replied to your post with the correct front and rear brake springs for your car and they are listed on ebay. The floating type that you are showing is not correct. Rich Hartung Quote
Slickster Posted December 12, 2020 Author Report Posted December 12, 2020 Thanks, wasn't sure which one was the correct one......this project has certainly had it's share of surprises.... Quote
Los_Control Posted December 12, 2020 Report Posted December 12, 2020 Seems brake springs are a surprise .... I am quite amused when I found these springs in a bucket of oil I use to soak & lube things. I remember the springs on my rear shoes were to short, I wanted to replace them. .... Did I? I do not remember buying new ones ... feel like Gomer Pyle, Surprise ... surprise ... surprise. Gona have to pull the rear drums back off to find out why I have 2 extra brake springs ? Quote
Slickster Posted December 12, 2020 Author Report Posted December 12, 2020 I think there is only one spring on the rear brakes... Quote
