Doug&Deb Posted September 23, 2020 Report Posted September 23, 2020 It’s my understanding that the choke assembly had an asbestos gasket under it from the factory. Since that’s a big no no I’m wondering what can be used for a replacement. I’m currently using regular gasket material. Quote
Dan Hiebert Posted September 23, 2020 Report Posted September 23, 2020 It just needs a heat resistant gasket, asbestos was simply the heat resistant thing back then, not so much now. Quote
desoto1939 Posted September 23, 2020 Report Posted September 23, 2020 I went to a napa store and got a sheet of heat resistant gasket and cut my own. I thraced the outline of the base of the sisson choke and then staped two holes inthe end and put it under the choke. Rich Hartung 2 Quote
