I'm getting ready to send a couple emails out to start getting quotes on machine work to get one of my blocks ready to be rebuilt. I don't want to miss anything and I've never actually rebuilt an automotive engine only two-stroke motorcycle engines.

 

Can someone more knowledgeable than me provide a list of what services I will require starting with a hot tank dip and magnafluxing obviously.

 

I could start listing the things I'm thinking about and ask a bunch of questions but I think it would be easier if I just got your input. Then if I have any further questions I can submit them.

First is measurements.  Crank journals, and bore primarily.  Let your machinist determine if decking the block or line boring is needed.  I've personally never encountered a mopar flathead that needed either, but just to be sure.   Head milling of course, either just cleanup or more to up compression, your choice.   Replace cam bearings.   

 

I got lucky on mine for the pickup, it was an older rebuild and the .040 bores and .010/.010 crank was still in spec.  Clean, mill and cam bearings did it for me.
