Just picked up a '51 B-Series long bed thats in pretty good shape. The trans needs some work (synchros for 2nd are toast, 3rd are decent, 4th are buttery smooth) and the rear brakes are completely shot. The lines are easy enough, but I'm curious what the best source for replacement drums is. Also looking at potentially putting in a dual carb setup. Any recommendations?

You won't find a syncro for 2nd gear....there isn't one.

Only 3rd and 4th have syncro rings.

Yeah, I was talking it over with my dad last night, that was his thought since the granny 1st wouldn't be used for everyday driving.

yah 1st and 2nd are straight cut, 3 and 4 synchro.
