Bumper guards...to have or not to have

Just curious of what you guys think of how the P15 looks with or without the bumper guards. I think without gives it a wider, sleaker look, and then having them on gives it a more original, classic look. What do you guys think?

I had a 49 Pontiac once; took the bumper guards off. Looked great. Then I pushed a buddy's car (that also had no guards) and smashed both of my driving lights. Then I knew why the Brits called them 'overriders'!

I like boff ways. So last year I hadem onna front, but not onna back. Now I gottum on boff ends. Not a real fan of the Rhino horn some time seen i the middle. Or the gooffy candlepin looking things with the balls on top. Sorry you candle pin guys. remind me of a chromed brass bed.

On or off, basically is it a coat and tie feel or a casual feel you want when you are out and about. On = more formal; off = less formal; either way, still a gent.

Now I know most people are going off looks and I have to admit I like them without. But I want to bring up one point I saw someone else touch one.

I had an El Camino and someone backed into me pretty hard, they had to replace thier whole bumper among other repairs I beleive. I simply had to replace my bumper guard.

I kept 'em off my car. I think it makes the car look much cleaner and less cluttered. I think the lines of the car flow nicely without them, they snag your eye when they are there.

I personally feel the P15 looks much nicer with them. However, if the car is rodded, it does make a difference. Generally speaking, the rods look better without them. Just my opinion.
