hkestes41 Posted November 9, 2019 Report Posted November 9, 2019 Saw this on another group I am part of and thought it was pretty cool. The truck is in Cannock England. I actually thought about this a few years back and used a photo editing tool to mock one up. What are your thoughts? Quote
hkestes41 Posted November 9, 2019 Author Report Posted November 9, 2019 Owner says It was a Plymouth chassis and cab built in the states then exported to Australia and a body built there, only one I’ve seen in the uk. Quote
Andydodge Posted November 10, 2019 Report Posted November 10, 2019 I've never seen a pic nor one made on the car chassis here in Oz.......our Mopar car based utes started with the 53/54's as far as I know, tho we did get both Dodge and Fargo pickup trucks here but a P15, 1946-48 car based one I've never heard of............I'd like to see what if any ID plates etc are on it...........and is it LHD or RHD .........it would have had to have been RHD to be used anywhere in Oz back then............andyd Quote
greg g Posted November 10, 2019 Report Posted November 10, 2019 (edited) This one has been on the web for ten years or so. Looks very similar! Edited November 10, 2019 by greg g Quote
Tony WestOZ Posted November 10, 2019 Report Posted November 10, 2019 Car based closed cab utes were made from 33 to 1940. I have never seen a commercially available car model from 40 up to 53 as they had the truck based ute and then they stated on the cars again in 53. Not to say there was not a few custom made jobs done. Quote
