marco02_ Posted October 7, 2019 Report Posted October 7, 2019 I am new to these cars and would really like to know if it would be possible to interchange trim from a 1948 Plymouth P15 onto a 1948 Dodge 24. More specifically the fender mounding, rocker panel moulding, rear fender splash shields, and rear fender moulding. Thanks In advance Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted October 7, 2019 Report Posted October 7, 2019 the trim is very different and the Plymouth is a smaller car than the Dodge....traditionally the only trim that the P15 and D24 interchange is the rear fender trim as that was a dealer installed sales option for the P15 2 Quote
dpollo Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) Plymouthy is absolutely correct. However: There is a D25 Dodge and much of the Plymouth trim will fit it because it is built on the Plymouth body Edited October 8, 2019 by dpollo spelling 1 Quote
marco02_ Posted October 8, 2019 Author Report Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) Thanks i was wondering because i have a 1948 dodge d24 but some of the trim was stolen off of it like the fender moldings, rocker panel moldings, mirrors, and the splash guard that covers the space between the bumper and grille. I have a junkyard near me that has a 1948 plymouth p15 and they look fairly similar. Would some of the interior parts interchange as well like the gas pedal, arm rests, rear trunk latch mechanism, sun visors maybe even the window glass? Edited October 8, 2019 by marco02_ Quote
dpollo Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 gas pedal , arm rests and visors and possibly the trunk latch will fit 1 Quote
Dan Hiebert Posted October 9, 2019 Report Posted October 9, 2019 Trunk latch from a P15 won't fit on the D24. I tried that once...it'll bolt on, but the shaft on the lever is too short. 2 Quote
