53 B4C hood prop

So when putting my hood props back on I don't recall which side of the bolt and bracket the spring washer should be located.  Of course I didn't take a picture of this like a dummy.  The parts manual only shows the bolt, lock washer and nut where the prop attaches to the hood itself and does not show the bolt and spring washer where the prop bolts to the firewall.  Would some one please look and let me know if the washer should be against the firewall or should it be against the bracket held in by the bolt head.

Thanks that is a help but is on the hood side.  I am wondering about where the prop attaches to the firewall. Would you have a picture where it attaches to the firewall?
