Newbie Lookin For A Truck

I am looking for a truck and think I found one.

I came across a 1950 Pilot House with updated running gear, running motor and very little rust.

I have not seen the interior yet but expect to this week.

They owner is asking $7000 canadian. It will need paint for sure and I am assuming some interior finishing.

 

Does that sound fair?

Pictures would help, but depending on the level of engine work and body rot.....seems the price is a bit high.

 I'll reserve my finally opinion after seeing some pictures

$7000 canadian looks like about $5.3k us Dollars. A running driving truck  with title seems reasonable.

Still need more info on what a updated running gear means, and photos of the quality of work done.

Needs to be safe.  Goal would be to not have to re do the work that has already been done.

 

Not knocking it, just be sure to check welds and quality of the work on any modified areas when you look at it.

I finally spoke to the owner last night.

It sounds like there is more work than I had hoped. I will try to get some pics, now that I have the address, in the next few days.
