plymouthcranbrook Posted August 27, 2019 Report Posted August 27, 2019 Who says there are no Real Men left? I am 68 and would not even attempt to do the work he does. Most likely all he has ever known. 1 Quote
Frank Elder Posted August 29, 2019 Author Report Posted August 29, 2019 I remember in high school when an athlete got As on his report card others would joke and say those classes must have been Basket Weaving 101....lol.....meaning no effort required, kinda like saying sweats likes a pig....they don't, they pant like a dog....or you must eat like bird, birds eat copious amounts of food at one sitting, watch this video basket weaving looks hard as hell to me. Dan Hiebert Posted August 29, 2019 Report Posted August 29, 2019 Refreshing videos, thanks for posting. Their simple enjoyment of what we call hard work, but they call living always makes me appreciate what I have and where I've been. I bet those fellas have grips like a vice, all that work with their hands. The barrel making is interesting, that is still a cottage industry up here in "The County", many of the potato farmers here still harvest into, and store their potatoes in wooden barrels. 1 Quote
wldavis3 Posted August 30, 2019 Report Posted August 30, 2019 Frank, H-E-(double hockey sticks). We had a class in our high school that was tougher than that - UNDERWATER Basket Weaving 201 !!!! 1 Quote
plymouthcranbrook Posted September 26, 2019 Report Posted September 26, 2019 I once watched a Cooper make a barrel in person at an antique village setting. Made it look easy but I'll bet it took a long time to get good at it. 1 Quote
