Norm's Coupe Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 That looks pretty good. Here's my show stoppers. Quote
Norm's Coupe Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Tim, that is a nice looking bezel. I bought a rechromed one from Tony Urwin a few years ago. He had also painted the letters. They look nice that way, but I really like them not painted better. I thought maybe the paint on my new one from Tony would have worn off by now. No such luck, guess he did a pretty good job of it because it still looks like the day I got it. Quote
David Mac Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 Tim, Let me know when you are ready to sell as I would be interested. Thanks, David Mac Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Guys......the letters on the P15 stop light were originally red, as is that triangular ship thing on the hood, and in between the "special deluxe" letters on the front fenders. Was never any red on the hood ornament. Of course the ships and lettering on hubcaps were red, but not the rings. Quote
Don Coatney Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Thanks to Bob Toft I got this nice stop light bezel a couple years ago. Bob had it painted red and it looked good. It now has several thousand weathered miles on it and has developed a bit of patina as the red is coming off. I like the patina and will leave it as is for now. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 That was good old model car Testors red paint, Don. It lasts for a while, but eventually needs to be re-painted. Quote
Young Ed Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Bob I just bought a jar of their self leveling paint. Haven't made it to buy a brush to try it out yet though. Quote
