I did snag that picture from the Joes Crab Shack web site and that was the Branson crab joint.

and make some nice homemade toast in my own toaster and our own butter.

I found this picture of Norms toaster:D "uses no lectricity" as we all know how tight Norm is with a nickle :D Also found this picture of Norm churning his butter.:D

Don, you don't know how close to home that butter churn comes. Brings back lots of fond old memories. As a kid in the early to mid 50's I can still see my Great Grandmother sitting on the front porch churning butter as we pulled up to my great grandparents farmhouse. That was some of the best butter you'd ever want to eat.:) Even in the early mid 60's after first getting married, wife and I use to drive about 30 miles or so to buy our butter from some woman on a farm each week, who churned her own, then sold it direct from her farmhouse. Too bad you can't find places like that anymore.

Norm;

You can make your own butter at home today very easily. Buy a pint of heavy whipping cream and pour it into a tupperware bowl. Add a pinch of salt, install the lid, and shake it like you would a rattle can of paint. It will soon turn to butter. Try it.

Don, maybe you could make homemade butter that way. However, it still wouldn't taste as good as the butter made right on the farm. That cream came direct from the cow and has a different, richer taste than any cream you can buy in the store today. So.......it just wouldn't be the same.
