57 truck hemi

I have a hemi and transmission from a 57 Dodge 2 ton truck. it is a Dodge motor. what cubic inch would it be? I also have a 57 dodge car engine, D500 option. is it similar to the truck motor. would like to put one in my 51 pickup.

It's probably a 315 Double rocker shaft hemi.

They used a 354 too but usually in the high tonnage models...need the Engine# off the front of the block ( in front of the valley cover)

If that D500 is complete it's worth a fair amount of coin!  Kinda rare and much sought after intake and carbs

The numbers off the front of the block would tell the story as the guys said. It could be a 315 or possibly a 325. However, being a truck motor it is gonna be around 7:1 compression and have small sodium filled valves. I just went through that with my 325 out of a truck.

finally got around to opening up the truck motor. going to take some work, 2 cylinders have a lot of rust. mouse nest in the valley on the lifters. motor has no numbers stamped in the block. casting # is 1739429-4.  heads are 1823129-1. has part of a tag that says it was a factory rebuilt unit. what motor is this?
