randy riley Posted August 30, 2018 Report Posted August 30, 2018 I have a hemi and transmission from a 57 Dodge 2 ton truck. it is a Dodge motor. what cubic inch would it be? I also have a 57 dodge car engine, D500 option. is it similar to the truck motor. would like to put one in my 51 pickup. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted August 31, 2018 Report Posted August 31, 2018 (edited) It's probably a 315 Double rocker shaft hemi. They used a 354 too but usually in the high tonnage models...need the Engine# off the front of the block ( in front of the valley cover) Edited September 1, 2018 by Dodgeb4ya Quote

Kinda rare and much sought after intake and carbs Quote
59bisquik Posted August 31, 2018 Report Posted August 31, 2018 (edited) The numbers off the front of the block would tell the story as the guys said. It could be a 315 or possibly a 325. However, being a truck motor it is gonna be around 7:1 compression and have small sodium filled valves. I just went through that with my 325 out of a truck.
