Nice picture David. Decides one thing for me. No way am I putting the center bumper guard back on my p15!

Thats a nice picture, you can see the paint in the front hood ornament. I can't decide, I think I like that center guard, but I wouldn't want to give up my license bracket.

Yeah...these photos of P15s back when they were new really gives me more respect for the car. I'm actually trying to locate the first owner of my car to see if he or she still may have any photos of it. Hey, if Alex Haley can search his roots, I don't see why I can search the history of this car's first owner.

But Ed, just think----that center guard would be real handy for pushing other vehicles.

Ever notice how scratched up the bumpers are on many of these old cars?? I think that came from either them pushing someone, or someone pushing them when the old buggy wouldn't start.

My car had 3 guards on it new. The bumper was off when I got it but you can clearly see the outline of all 3. The 3 guards were with it too. Still don't think I'm going for that center guard....

I'm with you on that, actually, Ed......I like just the two guards. I have one of those grille guards that fastens to the two uprights--used it for a while, but not so crazy about it either. I like the looks of the grille and hate to put much in front of it.

Thanks for sharing your great picture collection, David.

I love seeing those period shots (and I use them as a constantly changing desktop on my computer).

All the best.

Robin.
