I see that the oil pressue hose to my dash gauge  is dripping a little oil. I have not had a close look at this. Never had one out.  Can anyone tell me what kind of fitting it should be? Can i simple put a wrench on it and try cranking it tighter? It seems to be dripping down from behind the dash gauge.

I had to play the role of a contorsion artists just to get a pic. Pretty sure it won’t be easy going to get a wrench up there.

Any tips, tech support is appreciated. Thx. Keith.

pull the entire dash cluster towards you and it is possible to get in there but only just.  The fitting into the gauge is unusual and was meant to be a "once only"

If you can tighten it with a short 3/8 wrench you will likely be ok.   If that does not fix it there are several other options.

Keith.............is that arrangement factory stock?.....at least on the Oz mopars I've seen the hose is generally in the middle of the line from the engine, usually near or going thru the firewall area with a steel tube either side of the hose, one going to the engine and the other up to the oil pressure gauge where there is a small brass ferrule that fits on the tube and into the back of the guage where its held into the gauge by a gland nut.............I've not seen a setup where the hose is that close to the gauge.........as dpollo says try to gently tighten it ...........andyd

Not fun to replace that hose....occasionally I see them on E-Bay.

I have done a few of them.

Tightening won't fix the leak. The hose has failed.

You need the correct style hose with the..... as I recall 1/8" pipe and slip on ferrule. It will crush up tight with the factory compression nut. The factory ferrule was soldered on the short tube. A slip on will work as came with after market hoses for this set up.

You have to pull the cluster out as far as you can.... 1st remove the  firewall rubber lines clamp and rubber grommet as shown.. 3 screws removed  to pull the cluster back... then just enough room to get at the 3/8" hose nut. Pull the hose through the firewall and disconnect at the engine steel line fitting.

This has been on the forum before... try a seach for  it.
