austinsailor Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 Would anyone have the paint code for this truck? I have some pretty good places on the firewall to match it, but the paint store, using their computer, comes up with a pink. That's not going to get it. They say with a code they have resources to get it right. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted February 26, 2018 Report Posted February 26, 2018 same color as mine? You could dig thru FEF's build thread and I have it in there if it's the color you want. Quote
Blue Posted February 27, 2018 Report Posted February 27, 2018 You could go with the pink and really stand out in a crowd. Although you might catch hell at the coffee shop. 1 Quote
Blue Posted February 27, 2018 Report Posted February 27, 2018 I don't know if this will help or not: http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/color/imgcol/index.htm Quote

Dave72dt Posted February 27, 2018 Report Posted February 27, 2018 Spectremaster code RS910 for FEF with the enamel binder replaced with base/clear binder. Spectremaster is an Axalta owned company, has varying shades of primary and secondary colors with no specific vehicle application, same as a hardware store has for household usage. Your jobber may have an interchange code. If not, I'll try to get the national code number for you which may work for other brands. Quote
austinsailor Posted February 27, 2018 Author Report Posted February 27, 2018 Thanks. I'll try that and the paint chip blueberrydodge posted. The color doesn't have to be an exact match, but I'd like it to be in the ballpark. Quote
tanda62 Posted February 27, 2018 Report Posted February 27, 2018 To get a close match to the 1953 Dodge Truck Red I went with a 1969 Chrysler Barracuda "Scorch Red", paint code R6. The painter used Metalux brand reference number 25955. I am really happy with the result as it is a very rich looking red. Here is a picture of the hood. 1 Quote
