got head bolts from the machine shop that milled the head for me. i will get the # off  the box when i go out to the garage later.   capt den

Regarding tools, this partial list of tools worked quite well and got me the results I wanted. The hand grinding of the valve seats is not for the weary.

Quick question - did you or anyone else notice how far piston heads in these engines come up to the top of the bore?  Are they flush?

If I recall, I believe they are flush with the deck, but I don't recall 100%

Because the difference between the 251 and the 265 was in the stroke, I believe the 251 piston came to about 1/32 inch from the top of the bore, and the 265 was nearly flush with the deck.
