C.C. Rider Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 so 2 months i took the ignition switch out and took it to a local lock smith for a new key, it was fresh in my mind then so i didnt mark or tape which wire went to which. there is a long wire and 2 wires that are the same length. i can see the Batt, GA and IGN. Any help will be appreciated! Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 you really need to ring the wires with an ohm meter to be sure of the proper orientation... Quote
Merle Coggins Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 One wire should be coming from the Ammeter. This one would go to the BAT terminal. The wire diagram shows 12 ga. Brown. The IGN terminal gets the wire that goes to the ignition coil. 14 ga. Red, according to the diagram. The third wire feeds the gauges, primarily the fuel level gauge, or any other powered accessory. This would go to the GA terminal. Diagram shows 12 ga. Blue. 2 Quote
