Has anyone converted the rear quarter roll up windows to fixed windows?  If so, how? Is glass available or does it have to be custom cut?  What about rubber?

This is just flat glass and can be cut at any good auto glass shop. Since it was not originally a fixed window you are going to have to experiment and find a rubber gasket maybe the front windshield gasket might work.

I don't understand the problem. Why can't you just roll the window up all the way,pin or braze the gear into place so it can't turn, and then cut off the extension where the window crank goes so nothing protrudes?

What am I missing/not understanding?

maybe he wants it to roll up and down.  I know I would.

Then why would he want to know how to convert it to fixed windows?

I believe he means one piece of glass not two. of course I'm most likely wrong.

He has a club coupe. I don't think they have two  piece back side windows.

The regulator on one side is locked up and broken on the other.  I just figured one piece of rubber would be cheaper and not a lot of things to replace.  I have together new glass anyway.

Fixed glass, like windshields and rear windows, are held in by rubber hooked over a metal lip on the frame of the window.  Roll down windows have grooves in the frame, and fuzzy wipers on the garnish molding to hold the glass.  If you waned to convert a roll down  window to fixed glass, I can think that you would have to weld in some metal edges to hook the rubber gasket to.  It may be much simpler to replace or repair your broken  window mechanisms.
