Bobacuda
Here's my truck in front of Luckenbach General Store (bar in the back). The bust on the granite is of Hondo. The dancehall (Engel's Hall) is to the left, behind my truck.

DJ194950
Bobacuda- How much are houses selling for? Been thinking of moving out of Californication! Maybe it should be Califpornication, I hear that Ca. is the porn making capitol of the U.S. Thought about saying it's the place to find future presidents wives but that may a political comment! Brent B3B
Bob, is that post office still in use? I thought ours was tired, that one looks like termites holding hands awesome photo!
Bobacuda
The Post Office was officially closed in 1971, Zip Code retired. Folks out there all have Fredericksburg mailing addresses, now. As for the condition of the General Store/Post Office/bar/souvenir building, it was built in 1886... Not too many current Post Offices will be around that long Next time I'm out that way I'll get you a bumper sticker. BTW, one of the early townsfolk was Jacob Brodbeck, inventor of the first airplane (40 yrs before the Wright Bros.). http://www.hillcountryexplore.com/?p=2099
