I was reading thru some ad's yesterday and came across one for a 230 crankshaft. There was a notation within the ad saying that it was specifically for a fluid drive equipped truck. I wasn't aware that there was a specific crankshaft for this application. Does anyone know if this is true? And if so what the differences are between this and a standard crankshaft?

Thanks in advance.

The fluid coupler requires 8-bolts for attachment. There are 4-bolt and 6-bolt crankshafts also, dependent on year and application.

Obviously, an 8-bolt could be used in place of the others, and the others could be drilled.
