pflaming Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 1. I have two, one with a bottom return the other with a side bottom return. Is there a preference? 2. Will the oil " pump" to a canaster mounted on the fire wall? Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 as a preference which do you like best, the bottom line or the side mount... if it will pump to a canister mounted on the engine it will pump to a canister on the firewall albeit you will need two flex lines for this application..are you prepared for this additional cost and possible failure taking away from the overall reliability.. pflaming Posted September 21, 2016 Author Report Posted September 21, 2016 I was not certain about the power of the pump and the issue of the engine to chassis flex is important to know. Mine will stay on the engine. That also enforces the necessity of a flex line to the dash gauge. Quote
Dave72dt Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 We just ran across the same problem on a 51 Chev., if you need a flexible line, check into using a hose for a grease gun. 1/8 pipe fittings each end, and will handle all the pressure the engine would ever be able to put out.. 2 Quote
