bach4660 Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 are there washers underneath the head bolts? Quote
NiftyFifty Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 Not if the proper flange head bolts are used, if your trying standard bolts then you should use washers...but from my own experience I don't recommend it...use real head bolts..their meant to stretch. Summit sells a very close to original bolt Quote
ggdad1951 Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 Vintage Power Wagons sells repops of the originals...just make sure to have a loan out for the cost per bolt once you add up to the total needed! page 15 https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxzO_Oy1EMLIWVFzSHRzNjlOMWs/view Quote
greg g Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 You can get a bolt made for a Chevy 350 that has the proper length and shoulder for under a buck each. I got mine through the machine shop that milled my head. They are a Pioneer parts bolt. Part number should come up in a forum search on the car board. Quote
